California Blog #48: Vacation Day 8 - It’s Party Time

It’s Saturday September 14th and today’s the big day. Man I don’t wanna miss this!


We went to Theo’s birthday party at Shanann and Miles’s house and everyone including us was invited. We had fun, played around in the backyard with him and all his friends, had some snacks, and ate sandwiches for lunch. Mmm-mmm! I even saved myself a pack of Goldfish crackers for later.





We even played plenty of fun games with the rainbow parachute together.

Going to Theo’s birthday party at their house reminds me of the good old days back in Lawrence. Like this one time we throw a dance party with my friends from school. We danced, we partied, we had food and cola, the power went out. Yeah, good times.

After that, we went to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk to go on some rides. How did we get here? Well after parking at a place where no one can see us, we walk there. On our way, my dad showed me where he and his band played. That is at the Dream Inn. But before that, he even showed me where he stayed at Sea & Sand Inn while his grandparents are out.



I was too big to go on the Giant Dipper and the Surge ride. That’s why dad told me I should get more exercise. Anyway moving on. I got to go on the Loggers Revenge ride and I got really wet. Then I went on other rides like the Tsunami, the Riptide, the Haunted Castle ride, etc. It was a great time to make plenty of memories my dad made.




It was really fun just like the old days.

And I hope that when I come back to visit, I’ll be doing it again.


Tomorrow is the last day of our vacation. But there’s another way for me to save on my next California vacation. Fingers crossed.

California Blog #08: A Visit to Axtell Expressions

  Ever since the day I got my first Axtell puppet in Lawrence KS, it has always been my dream to entertain children, and start my puppet's own show on YouTube. So I would like to take my time to talk about Axtell Expressions. It all started in the month of February 2013 when I got my bee puppet delivered to my door. It was a best day of my life. Since I named him Buzzy, I got the chance to show my puppet to everyone in Lawrence. The school that I went to [Free State High School], Cordley Elementary [including Lois Orth-Lopes], and of course all of my friends in this town I lived in. They are so thrilled that they saw it. He was friendly, kind, and more expressive to people. And for example, this is what my puppet and I look like in that picture. California Blog #11: 7-Eleven

  As I'm still working on my next future life in northern California, I'd like to take my time to talk to you about my daily trips to 7-Eleven in my spare free time. Whenever I come in to a 7-Eleven, I get myself a Slurpee of any kind that I like. Whether it's wild cherry, blue raspberry, pina colada, or Coca-Cola flavored, I'm always down with that. One time, my family and I were visiting 7-Eleven to get myself a Slurpee during vacation in California, and I tried a wild cherry Slurpee. And I gotta tell you, I almost got myself a brain freeze when I sipped too fast. We were in the car on the way. Visiting 7-Eleven reminds of the time I was in Kansas City with my dad while we were moving, and it was great. I wanted to pick out something besides a Slurpee, but it was all I can get here for now.
