California Blog #26: Celebrating St. Patrick's Day

  Decades ago while I was living in Lawrence Kansas, I celebrated this traditional holiday of green downtown. Even Americana Music Academy celebrated too. I even got the chance to join the parade with Americana. When I was a kid, my folks took me to downtown Lawrence to watch the parade. Everyone was handing out candy and goodies, playing music, dancing, and marching. I really enjoyed watching the parade and even joining it always, and I will continue to keep doing that for many years to come. Speaking of which, I've come up with an idea for my next future life here. What if we can celebrate St. Patrick's Day by watching or joining a St. Patrick's Day parade here in California. We can celebrate it every year in California when we go downtown in Santa Cruz, or in downtown San Francisco. We'll watch the parade together and see some floats parading by, hear good Irish music, hang out, wear green, and have fun partying. Another idea for when we celebrate it every year. We c...
