California Blog #08: A Visit to Axtell Expressions

 Ever since the day I got my first Axtell puppet in Lawrence KS, it has always been my dream to entertain children, and start my puppet's own show on YouTube. So I would like to take my time to talk about Axtell Expressions.

It all started in the month of February 2013 when I got my bee puppet delivered to my door. It was a best day of my life. Since I named him Buzzy, I got the chance to show my puppet to everyone in Lawrence. The school that I went to [Free State High School], Cordley Elementary [including Lois Orth-Lopes], and of course all of my friends in this town I lived in. They are so thrilled that they saw it. He was friendly, kind, and more expressive to people. And for example, this is what my puppet and I look like in that picture.

Now in the future when I come back to live in California again, I wanna plan a visit to Axtell Expressions in Ventura where it's between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. I wanna get the chance to meet Steve Axtell and shake hands with him. He might even get to tour around the puppet shop and see what it's like to be entertained with his puppetry work. you know, a behind the scenes look at how it's done. I'm also thinking about getting myself a Rocky Fox puppet to dress him out in many different styles, a Rick Rack puppet, and Chuck the Duck. I also thought about getting maybe a couple more puppets. Including a bat puppet for maybe some Halloween episodes of Buzzy's show or whatnot, a crazy cow puppet, a flamingo puppet, a mega macaw, mega cockatoo, and perhaps maybe a snake puppet. That way, I can complete an entire Axtell puppet collection. To do that, I need to come up with a plan to take Aunt Leta, Uncle Mark, my dad, and my cousin Ryan with me. We would ask him some interesting questions or perhaps maybe some new puppet suggestions, then Axtell would answer them. I'm sure that he will appreciate it a lot.

When I live in the Northern California area once again if the time comes, I would like someone to help me out on my show with my bee puppet Buzzy on YouTube. For example, Aunt Leta or my dad can help me out on the dialog I recorded on computer after being read on a script, that way my puppet can tell what it's saying on camera. Another example, using an app for iPad, iPhone, or on computer is the teleprompter app. That way making videos for any show, vlog, or presentation can make it look more professional. Now this will be quite a challenge. And these are the puppets that I selected for my puppet library. When the time comes, I will be glad if I get somebody to help me out on my puppet show on YouTube. Maybe I can get someone else to help me with my show too.  Living in Northern California in the future can be a bit of a challenge. But when I think of living here once again, I've thought about one thing that my aunt Leta suggested. California Blog #11: 7-Eleven

  As I'm still working on my next future life in northern California, I'd like to take my time to talk to you about my daily trips to 7-Eleven in my spare free time. Whenever I come in to a 7-Eleven, I get myself a Slurpee of any kind that I like. Whether it's wild cherry, blue raspberry, pina colada, or Coca-Cola flavored, I'm always down with that. One time, my family and I were visiting 7-Eleven to get myself a Slurpee during vacation in California, and I tried a wild cherry Slurpee. And I gotta tell you, I almost got myself a brain freeze when I sipped too fast. We were in the car on the way. Visiting 7-Eleven reminds of the time I was in Kansas City with my dad while we were moving, and it was great. I wanted to pick out something besides a Slurpee, but it was all I can get here for now.
