California Blog #47: Vacation Day 7 - Theo’s Birthday

It’s Friday September 13th, and it’s a very special day.

So here’s what my dad and I did this morning. We both got together and drove to downtown Santa Cruz to walk around. I even got to go to Comicopolis to buy a Big Nate book for myself.

That place has been around forever, and I really love that store.

Before that, he and I went to Sylvan Music to buy some guitar strings. I had to sit in the car for a while. I was just about to get out of the car and walk around town for a little bit but it turned my dad was done. So I opened up and I found him. Next, I got to visit Streetlight Records while my dad went down to the Starving Musician. I even got a picture of him with that shark! Haha!😆

Streetlight Records has all the CDs, records, posters, DVDs, and so much more. So I’m gonna text Uncle Mark and Aunt Leta a Christmas wishlist of things I want from this place.

And then after that, me and my dad got lunch again at Jack In The Box. I got the triple Jack combo.

Then I relaxed for a while and I signed a birthday card I made for Theo James. I drew a happy face and wrote the words ‘Peace Love Happiness’ on the bottom.

And now it’s time for a pizza party.

Aunt Leta chose Roundtable Pizza because it’s really good stuff.

After that, we all got together (Leta, Mark, Shanann, Miles, Kieran, and me) and got to open gifts for Theo James. He got himself a go-kart and I got him a Hot Wheels Monster Jam truck. Then we sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to him and made ice cream sundaes. I like mine with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and sprinkles on them. It was really awesome! And it’s good, it’s really good!

Theo James is four years old now and tomorrow is a big day. It’s a huge birthday party here at Shanann and Miles’s house, and everyone’s invited. Then it’s a trip to the boardwalk.

How cool is that?!

When I’m back home, I’m gonna do whatever I can to save money for my next trip to California so I can visit my Aunt Leta and Uncle Mark once again. I was also talking to Uncle Mark about a special concert here at the Klavers’ house. I suggested Weezer to perform in the backyard. So does Green Day and Red Hot Chili Peppers too.

I hope that we will make this happen.
