California Blog #45: Vacation Day 5 - Just The Two Of Us Reminiscing

Today is Wednesday September 11th. And today, me and my dad went on a drive together.

Here’s what happened today.

First off, we went down to Lovers Point to see the whales spout here in Monterey Bay. But before that, we went to Carmel-By-The-Sea to see my dad’s friend here at Montgomery Art Gallery. When he finally made it to his destination, his friend wasn’t here and so we moved on. Maybe he’s been busy or something. I don’t know. My dad showed me where my mom and dad used to work. Things have changed since back then. On our way, we stopped by David Avenue and remembered when I was little. There used to be a McDonalds there and now it’s a Starbucks. I remember when I got upset and my autism got worse then we got to doctor’s to see what was wrong. Now that I’m grown, I’m all over that. But at least I feel a lot better now. Now that seemed really familiar of what I remember the most.

When I was this little, my family and I lived in this house next to the ocean near Pacific Grove. I really loved living in that house in my early days when I was little.

We were driving around Pacific Grove and saw the Monterey Bay Charter School building that I remember walking through when my dad and I were playing outside. That was fun, wasn’t it.

After that, it’s on to Lovers Point where we got ourselves a snack and some Bubly Sparking Water. My dad told me while we were at the coffee shop talking that sparkling water is really healthy. So he considered going to Costco to buy some of that sparkling water. La Croix and Bubly is a very great idea. I like sparkling water because it’s good for me and it’s refreshing.

Anyway moving on. After the coffee shop, we went to Monterey Bay and relaxed for a while on the bench. We also got the chance to see some whales spout water in the ocean. Daddy and I were really amazed.

Dad wanted to feed some peanuts to the ground squirrels, but he didn’t have any. Bummer.

Lovers Point is the best place to hang out, go for a swim at the beach, play volleyball, do more things too.

Next we went down to Washington Park to find some butterflies. Unfortunately, there weren’t any.

But the trees are very beautiful.

Next, we got lunch at Jack In The Box. I finally got the Jumbo Jack combo meal.

After lunch, it’s off to the Santa Cruz County Fair here in Watsonville.

As we got in, my dad took me to see some exhibitions here.

We saw some art, masks, some paintings, fruits, flowers, and saw some farm animals. I even got to pet the pigs, chickens, cows, horses, goats, and sheep here at the petting farms there.

Then on the way back, we hung out at downtown Santa Cruz. He went down to More Music to buy some new strings, but it turns out More Music is now a music school. So we moved on to get some dinner here at Woodstock’s Pizza. We met Davis and he was really friendly. We got Hawaiian pizza this time and it was delicious.

Then as we got back to Aunt Leta and Uncle Mark’s house. We told them all about our adventure. Aunt Leta, if you read this blog, I have some pictures for you.

I’ll never forget my earlier days when I once lived here in California.

Tomorrow, it’s Aunt Leta and Uncle Mark day. And our vacation in California still goes on.
