California Blog #42: Vacation Day 1 - The Start of our Visit

 Well, we’ve done it again. We’ve finally made it in California to visit my Aunt Leta & Uncle Mark in Scotts Valley once again. First off, we left Bluffton in the morning to catch our flight. On our way, we flew to Chicago and waiting a couple of hours here and grabbed a bite to eat at the Billy Goat Grill and Tavern right here at the airport. Then, we hung out here and relaxed for a while until our plane to San Jose has arrived. And after that, we got on the plane for San Jose for a 4-hour flight. I was snoring during the flight and my iPad was playing music without the earbuds when the screen went off. As we arrived, we rented a car, got on the freeway, listened to a little KPIG, and got some dinner at Jack In The Box. After that, we got to see Aunt Leta and Uncle Mark at their house to visit. After we got things unpacked, Uncle Mark showed me how to use the smart TV in their room. In the living room, we were chatting about all sorts of things and ideas on what we should do for fun. As I was about to cool off, I got on the trampoline and did the bounces on it to get some exercise for starters. Then I finally got to cool off outside. But before that, we had some ice cream and some “soda water”.

Anyway, we were both talking about the documentary idea I came up with and I showed Uncle Mark some videos I made. My slideshow, and three of my music videos.


My aunt and uncle loved them on YouTube!


So here’s to starting our vacation here in California once again. Tomorrow is gonna be a great one. ☝️

 Living in Northern California in the future can be a bit of a challenge. But when I think of living here once again, I've thought about one thing that my aunt Leta suggested. She and uncle Mark suggested visiting Lake Tahoe for the very first time. If you can look closely, you can see the beautiful lakeside. That's the south shore seen on the west. At Lake Tahoe, you can also see the view of the shore from California from here. If you liked my blog about camping in California, then get this. There's also hiking here in Lake Tahoe! And that part of Lake Tahoe is Fallen Leaf Lake. How's that for another scenery. Now if you look closely at this map, Lake Tahoe is located in both California and Nevada. California Blog #08: A Visit to Axtell Expressions

  Ever since the day I got my first Axtell puppet in Lawrence KS, it has always been my dream to entertain children, and start my puppet's own show on YouTube. So I would like to take my time to talk about Axtell Expressions. It all started in the month of February 2013 when I got my bee puppet delivered to my door. It was a best day of my life. Since I named him Buzzy, I got the chance to show my puppet to everyone in Lawrence. The school that I went to [Free State High School], Cordley Elementary [including Lois Orth-Lopes], and of course all of my friends in this town I lived in. They are so thrilled that they saw it. He was friendly, kind, and more expressive to people. And for example, this is what my puppet and I look like in that picture. California Blog #11: 7-Eleven

  As I'm still working on my next future life in northern California, I'd like to take my time to talk to you about my daily trips to 7-Eleven in my spare free time. Whenever I come in to a 7-Eleven, I get myself a Slurpee of any kind that I like. Whether it's wild cherry, blue raspberry, pina colada, or Coca-Cola flavored, I'm always down with that. One time, my family and I were visiting 7-Eleven to get myself a Slurpee during vacation in California, and I tried a wild cherry Slurpee. And I gotta tell you, I almost got myself a brain freeze when I sipped too fast. We were in the car on the way. Visiting 7-Eleven reminds of the time I was in Kansas City with my dad while we were moving, and it was great. I wanted to pick out something besides a Slurpee, but it was all I can get here for now.
