California Blog #44: Vacation Day 3 - Let’s Go Exploring

It’s a beautiful Monday on the 9th of September, and after breakfast I got time to chill out for a while, then I took a five minute shower, and I had some lunch. Aunt Leta made me a chicken sourdough sandwich with a side of chips, roasted broccoli, and some grapes. This is what I look like when I eat healthy.

I even fooled her with a fake radio station I put on my iPad. She even fell for it.

Our next adventure is a trip to Santa Cruz. We suggested checking out Samba Rock Açaí Cafe at 291 Water St.

I got myself a Tropicallisimo smoothie this time with coconut milk. It tasted really good, sweet and tangy at the same time. My dad should recommend that next time he visits California.

It’s got the best smoothies in town. Uncle Mark said something about those açaí bowls he was talking about.

Next, we went to the Santa Cruz Harbor and checked out the boat Aunt Leta and Uncle Mark go on. This boat is called Ransacked Treasures.

And when the four of us got inside the boat, we did a tour there. I got in and chilled out for a couple half hours while dad and Uncle Mark were talking about some things.

And you wanna know what I saw on the poop deck? I saw this poster right there.

Straight from a song by The Beach Boys.

I saw the lines from the lyrics of the song “California Girls”, straight out of the poop deck of the boat. That was absolutely nostalgic! You gotta love The Beach Boys! Totally awesome!

Next, we went to down to The Crow’s Nest to get some ice cream, then I got myself a sticker for myself as a souvenir. And then, Uncle Mark and I went to the beach to cool off our feet and get them wet.

Uncle Mark showed me where I used to live in Pacific Grove across the Monterey Bay and reminiscing about where my family and I used to live when I was born. I’ll never forget those times here.

After that, we went to Capitola. But unfortunately, there was too much traffic here. So we looked at the view there.

Then when we got back home, we relaxed for a bit and had chicken and cheese quesadillas with watermelon, broccoli again, and some grapes. And after dinner, we got to interview Aunt Leta for my documentary idea I’ve been coming up of my own.

It was a really great day!

I hope that someday when I come back to visit, I’ll take Aunt Leta and Uncle Mark to the harbor for a boat ride here in Ransacked Treasures. Won’t that be fun? 🤩

Anyway, on to tomorrow cause we have a lot more to do here in the Golden state.
