California Blog #43: Vacation Day 2 - The Party

 It was day two on my California vacation. Here’s what we did today.




It was breakfast time here in Scotts Valley and uncle Mark made me shredded wheat cereal with strawberries in a bowl with sourdough toast on the side. I really loved it a lot. And then while my dad and Aunt Leta visited Doris, our journey begin.


First, me and Uncle Mark went out for a walk around Scotts Valley to get some exercise, then on our way we got ourselves some lunch at Carl’s Jr. But before that, we walked around town and went past a school where Kieran goes to. The school is Vine Hill Elementary School, home of the bears.


Just think, if I were to go down to Vine Hill, I could entertain the kids with my puppet pals. Everyone would laugh out loud and learn new things from them. Besides, it’ll be just I did in Kansas.


Moving on. Uncle Mark even showed me where my cousin Shanann when to high school. He even told me Ryan and Brendan went to Soquel High School.

Wish I could do something nice for them here, if I were to live in Scotts Valley close to Santa Cruz.



He even showed me where the Redwood trees and the hiking trails are, and before that, I was amazed by that. It was really fun to walk around here.


Anyway as we went to Carl’s Jr., we got ourselves a burger and onion rings. He even shared some fries with me. We talked about the documentary and explained some ideas of what’s next. I even talked about Fruitopia the fruit beverage that used to be there and talked about how to bring it back. That drink is always for the mind, body, and planet.

If I could drink a Fruitopia when it comes back, I would try the Raspberry Psychic Lemonade flavor. I’d also try to Cranberry Lemonade Vision flavor too.


On our way back, we came up with a plan to scare my dad and Aunt Leta. We walked up back to the house, sneaked in here quietly, and before you know it we yelled “WAKE UP!” to them. It was fun getting some exercise here in Scotts Valley.


Next, we had a barbecue here at their house. Shanann and Miles along with Kieran and Theo James was there, even Brendan and Kellen was there too. We had fun playing outside and enjoyed some burgers with baked beans and watermelon. It was really good! In fact, I gave the boys their first music mix for them. They really loved it! Then before you know it, I finally got the chance to get slimed for the second time!

This second one was better, thanks to Party Goat. And it’s dedicated to Nickelodeon.















And after dinner, we got inside and watched Hopscotch on YouTube. We even watched the climate change song which was about showing us way to help our environment. We watched plenty of those videos off of YouTube until Theo James got tired. I also showed them my slideshow I made. They really loved it a lot!


It was a great day today, and I hope that we’re doing more fun stuff during our vacation. There’s plenty more yet to come.

California Blog #08: A Visit to Axtell Expressions

  Ever since the day I got my first Axtell puppet in Lawrence KS, it has always been my dream to entertain children, and start my puppet's own show on YouTube. So I would like to take my time to talk about Axtell Expressions. It all started in the month of February 2013 when I got my bee puppet delivered to my door. It was a best day of my life. Since I named him Buzzy, I got the chance to show my puppet to everyone in Lawrence. The school that I went to [Free State High School], Cordley Elementary [including Lois Orth-Lopes], and of course all of my friends in this town I lived in. They are so thrilled that they saw it. He was friendly, kind, and more expressive to people. And for example, this is what my puppet and I look like in that picture. California Blog #11: 7-Eleven

  As I'm still working on my next future life in northern California, I'd like to take my time to talk to you about my daily trips to 7-Eleven in my spare free time. Whenever I come in to a 7-Eleven, I get myself a Slurpee of any kind that I like. Whether it's wild cherry, blue raspberry, pina colada, or Coca-Cola flavored, I'm always down with that. One time, my family and I were visiting 7-Eleven to get myself a Slurpee during vacation in California, and I tried a wild cherry Slurpee. And I gotta tell you, I almost got myself a brain freeze when I sipped too fast. We were in the car on the way. Visiting 7-Eleven reminds of the time I was in Kansas City with my dad while we were moving, and it was great. I wanted to pick out something besides a Slurpee, but it was all I can get here for now.
