California Blog #38: Cruisin’

 All aboard!


Okay you know what, forget about the intro… let’s just get to it.

Whenever we plan on a vacation in California, we come up with a really cool idea for this one. That is in fact, going on a cruise. I’m thinking taking a cruise trip to paradise. So to start this blog up, here are some ideas for cruise line trips. In other words, all aboard.


1. A Cruise Trip To Hawaii - To get to Hawaii, we'd have to choose a Carnival cruise line to take you there. It may take 15 days to get to Hawaii, that way we can enjoy ourselves. Then the ship shops by Honolulu, Maui, or Waikiki. We can even hang out at the beach, shop around, and learn how to surf. I almost forgot...I wanna learn how to hula dance. Maybe we get the time to go to a luau. I wonder where we can hike around Hawaii and experience a unique natural environment. Fact: This natural environment is known for the waterfall for swimming at Wailua Falls in the island of Kauai. You can swim in Wailua Falls and it will definitely be refreshing as the water is freezing.


2. Cruise Trip to Mexico - If we'd go on an authentic trip to Mexico, we'd go on Norwegian Cruise Line. That would be a dream vacation for a special occasion. When we arrive, we get off the boat and enjoy the sounds of the Mariachi band in Mexico City. Also, we'd watch a little Lucha Libre with Leta and Mark. Di you know thatMexico is famous for its cuisines, ancient temples, chocolate, Day of the Dead, powdered white sandy beaches, and others.

3. A Cruise to the Caribbean Islands - In this special day when our families plan a vacation like this, we take a trip to paradise. This place of paradise is the flavor of the Caribbean islands. According to Travel Channel's website, a Caribbean vacation isn't out of reach without a passport if you stick to the U.S. Virgin Islands: St. John, St. Croix and St. Thomas. Another idea for a cruise trip to plan on is a trip to the Bahamas. We could explore the sounds of the Junkanoo dancers and music. We dance to the sounds of reggae, soca, and Latin music. We even get to have fun at the beach, enjoy some native Bahamian fruits, think of some great activities, and relaxation. Fun fact for that one is that the Islands of the Bahamas are famous for Baha Men.





4. A Jamaican Vacation - My next idea for when to get on board to a cruise ship from San Francisco to the island of Kingston Jamaica. We could all enjoy the sounds of reggae, go on some tours around the island, check out Bob Marley Place, etc. And I quote, "Famous for its sign, Irie FM".


5. G'Day Australia! - One of the best ideas we've thought about is a trip down under. We would take a cruise trip to Sydney, Australia. The Klaver and we would like to check out the Sydney Zoo na look at the koalas, go shopping, and go on an outback safari. Maybe even "throw the shrimp on the barbie".



It would be a great time to enjoy these cruise trip ideas whenever we leave California for vacation. You know, just to take the time to enjoy ourselves.

 Living in Northern California in the future can be a bit of a challenge. But when I think of living here once again, I've thought about one thing that my aunt Leta suggested. California Blog #08: A Visit to Axtell Expressions

  Ever since the day I got my first Axtell puppet in Lawrence KS, it has always been my dream to entertain children, and start my puppet's own show on YouTube. So I would like to take my time to talk about Axtell Expressions. It all started in the month of February 2013 when I got my bee puppet delivered to my door. It was a best day of my life. Since I named him Buzzy, I got the chance to show my puppet to everyone in Lawrence. The school that I went to [Free State High School], Cordley Elementary [including Lois Orth-Lopes], and of course all of my friends in this town I lived in. They are so thrilled that they saw it. He was friendly, kind, and more expressive to people. And for example, this is what my puppet and I look like in that picture. Now in the future when I come back to live in California again, I wanna plan a visit to Axtell Expressions in Ventura where it's between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. California Blog #11: 7-Eleven

  As I'm still working on my next future life in northern California, I'd like to take my time to talk to you about my daily trips to 7-Eleven in my spare free time. Whenever I come in to a 7-Eleven, I get myself a Slurpee of any kind that I like. Whether it's wild cherry, blue raspberry, pina colada, or Coca-Cola flavored, I'm always down with that. One time, my family and I were visiting 7-Eleven to get myself a Slurpee during vacation in California, and I tried a wild cherry Slurpee. And I gotta tell you, I almost got myself a brain freeze when I sipped too fast. We were in the car on the way. Visiting 7-Eleven reminds of the time I was in Kansas City with my dad while we were moving, and it was great. I wanted to pick out something besides a Slurpee, but it was all I can get here for now.
