California Blog #32: Nickelodeon

Ever since I was a kid, I watched many Nickelodeon shows during my free time. I’ve been into Nickelodeon with the shows that I grew up with. And during my visit at the Klavers’ house in California, I got slimed in the backyard for the very first time. And if you thought I can get slimed for one time only, think again. We’re doing it again!

When I visit California or live in California again, we’re have another Nickelodeon themed party at Scotts Valley. It’s that time again to get slimed on the head! 2019 is when I got slimed for the first time since I visited.

Now here how you can make your own green slime at home. And guess what, it’s really easy to do. So listen carefully and pay close attention.

All you need is vanilla pudding and some green food coloring, and that’s it. According to Seventeen.com, it also says that some recipes included the likes of applesauce, oatmeal, flour, and/or Jell-O.

If you would like to make homemade green slime smoother like so, use plenty of vanilla pudding and green food coloring. Nickelodeon isn’t just the first network to slime people including kids. The iconic green slime is first introduced in a Canadian TV show that aired in Canada from the 70s to the early 90s. That show was ‘You Can’t Do That On Television’, and it was on CTV.

I even like the part where one of them say ‘I don’t know’ when someone asks a question and the slime comes down getting poured on their heads. I remember when I watched the show ‘Figure It Out’ in the mid-90s, and it had the secret slime action. Whenever the celebrity panelists do that action, slime gets dumped on their heads. It was awesome! I’ll never forget the time I watched that show. Even the Kids’ Choice Awards also get everybody slimed. Anyway, we’re gonna make this neck Nickelodeon-themed party real huge. We’ll need some food and drinks (including snacks), outdoor party music, maybe some fun games, and so much more. You never who will pop in, what will pop out, and it’s so good, you’ll eat it ALL up!

There’s even tips on planning a Loud House DIY party of any kind. The answer also lies in this link.  https://www.nickelodeonparents.com/the-loud-house-party-planner/

So that will be my first idea for that.

Anyway, moving on. When visiting Ryan in L.A., I wanna ask about visiting Nick Animation Studios. We can take a tour around the studio and learn about how the animated Nickelodeon shows are made. Plus, I wonder if there’s a museum exhibition for Nickelodeon. Of course, I’ve been looking up the studio’s location in Burbank.

In case you know, it’s located right here. 231 W Olive Ave, Burbank, CA 91502.

It will be awesome if we’d toured around Nickelodeon, then I can say I to the cast and crew members of my favorite shows. And who knows, maybe I’ll get to meet and greet my favorite voiceovers of the characters from Spongebob, The Loud House, The Casagrandes, etc.

My next idea for when I visit or come back is maybe plan a Nickelodeon movie night at the Klavers’ house or at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. We’ll get to enjoy all of the Nickelodeon flicks I grew up with, plus a special showing of The Loud House Movie at the beach. Also, we can enjoy a beach party here at the boardwalk with a Nickelodeon theme.

My next idea for throwing another Nickelodeon party somewhere will be the park somewhere in the Northern California area. We can plan one at one of these park choices.

There’s Skypark in Scotts Valley.

There’s Siltanen Park.

Hocus Pocus Park.

There’s Anna Jean Cummings County Park in Santa Cruz.

Jose Avenue County Park

Hidden Beach Park.

There’s even Mac Dorsa County Park. Check it out.

Another idea for a Nickelodeon themed party will be somewhere at a park or at the beach in Capitola. And this is Jade Street Park. I wonder if this is perfect for a party here.

My honorable mentions for throwing the next Nick themed party are:
Noble Gulch Park in Capitola
Broker Street County Park in Santa Cruz
Chanticleer County Park in Santa Cruz
Willow rook County Park in Aptos
Cayuga Park in San Francisco
Buena Vista Park in San Francisco
Lafayette Park in San Francisco
Alamo Square Park in San Francisco
and
Mission Dolores Park

So what we’ll do to make this next Nickelodeon party a huge success is that we’ll need everything to get all of this set up. What we need for the next Nickelodeon party are:

Some snacks (potato chips, fruit salads, others)
Hamburgers
Hot dogs
Soda
An inspired slime cake (instructions needed)
And oh yes, some homemade green slime.
(And I mean a lot of green slime, just like we talked about.)

Don’t forget about the music. What’s a party without any music playing? And we’ll also need this music set up. I can even be the DJ to play the songs everyone will like.

Pop music, hip hop, europop, K-pop, etc.

And maybe we can also do a Nickelodeon movie night at the park. Won’t that be a possibility?

And just think of all the possibilities of celebrating another Nickelodeon party here in California. Isn’t it about time we started planning for another one soon once I visit or come back here? Well, my thoughts say, yes we can!

So wait til we all got something in store for you. Prepare to get slimed! AGAIN!

This blog is dedicated to all of you who watch Nickelodeon and get into it. And this goes out to all of the people who made all the Nick shows, Nicktoons, Nick Jr. shows, and all the Nickelodeon movies that we all love watching. You guys rock! And keep up the good work.

Nick Nick Nick Nick N-Nick Nick Nick, Nickelodeon!
