California Blog #25: Concerts
My next future in California is gonna be a challenging one, and it's a good one too. When I move back here in the future, I will enjoy plenty of concerts and special events in the Golden state. My first part of concert shows that I wanna go to is at the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. The event at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk is Bands on the Beach located at the beach bandstand where Free Friday Nights is held. Not just see concerts, but also see free movies in the summer season too.
My second idea to see concerts is an outdoor event in San Francisco. If I can choose an outdoor concert event for example, it would be Bruce Hornsby. My next idea for seeing a concert here is watching Green Day perform.
I also thought about participating at the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival for the very first time. Fact is that the Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival is a music festival held annually in San Francisco, California, United States, at Golden Gate Park. The festival is produced by Another Planet Entertainment, Superfly Presents, and Starr Hill Presents. It is the largest independently owned music festival in the United States. So if we would like to visit Outside Lands in San Francisco, see for yourself.
Every year, Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival has a lineup of musical artists and bands willing to show up and perform on stage. And the best of the festival is that there's plenty of outdoor activities and attractions.
Other ideas for seeing concerts are seeing some in San Jose, Capitola, Monterey Bay, others.
Oh, speaking of Monterey, I also thought about the California Roots Festival at Monterey County Fairgrounds. The annual music and art festival, featuring reggae, reggae rock, folk, hip hop acts and live painting on-stage. Founded in 2010 by Jeff Monser, an artist and screen printing shop owner.
On special dates while visiting Los Angeles to hang out with cousin Ryan, I'm also thinking about going to Nickelodeon Slimefest for the first time.
If I were to get slimed at Slimefest, I would probably see Jojo Siwa perform live. I might even get to say hello to her. And maybe at Slimefest if I get lucky once again like the first time just like visiting California for summer vacation, I might get slimed again by surprise.
Folks, for fans who like smooth jazz. San Diego holds a Smooth Jazz Music Festival every year.
And maybe I can take my family there for some smooth jazz festivities.
Now if there was a concert somewhere in downtown Scotts Valley, we would find a 'Open Bluegrass Jam' that we can all find for my dad so that he can perform some Mojo music just like at Americana Music Academy in Lawrence Kansas.
But fact is, there's an Open Bluegrass Jam at the The Crêpe Place located at 1134 Soquel Ave, in Santa Cruz, CA.
Quick note: If you like to help me out on some performing arts we can see in the future, let me know.
