California Blog #21: San Francisco Zoo
For those of you who loves visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium, it's time we do something special in California history that we haven't done since I went to the zoo in Kansas City. Introducing the San Francisco Zoo!
Speaking of monkeys, talk about Jake Spidermonkey. That character I watched was so too gosh darn funny. He really made me laugh so hard.
So anyway... where was I? Oh yeah, right. Now when I come back or move back to California again to love or visit there, I wanna take the time to visit the San Francisco Zoo and take my family with me. I really would love to see some wildlife at the zoo.
Okay, one time I was learning about animals and wildlife in a San Diego Zoo CD-Rom, and it got me inspired about the wild. I will always remember all the things I saw about the wild on my computer. Another thing I remember learning about it is a Microsoft software program I played with. That other one was 'Dangerous Creatures'. It also had this desktop theme about it on Windows 95. In case you didn't noticed, the first one was titled 'San Diego Zoo Presents: The Animals!'. And it was one of the first educational software titles I enjoyed since Encarta 95.
If I were to visit the zoo once again, I wanna see the birds, monkeys, and gorillas. That would somehow be my daily choices.
I ask my aunt Leta and uncle Mark "What kind of animals do you wanna see today?" And she would say to me that she would like to see the flamingos.
For another fun fact, the grizzly bear is also known for the symbol of the flag for California Republic.
After seeing the animals, I can browse around the gift shop. Maybe Shanann can find something nice for Kieran. The zoo has some pop-up shops in here too. It even has a dining area called the Leaping Lemur Cafe.
The zoo's got an Exploration Zone for kids like my cousin Kieran. He would love to enjoy it also.
They've also got those nice rides in this zoo that I can enjoy. Kieran can check out the Dentzel Carousel, I can check out the Elinor Friend Playground, and there's even a Little Puffer Miniature Steam Train for a train ride to tour around the entire zoo.
It's also got this little thing called the Zoo Keys. The ever-popular, interactive Storybooks, activated by the beloved, plastic animal keys, have become nostalgic icons to visitors from years past. Located at the Storybooks site around the zoo where you can listen to multilingual recordings of stories and fun facts about the animals.
At the zoo, there's also another tour for pedaling our way through the zoo during these 90-minute riding tours. That one is called BikeAbouts. According to the zoo's website, it says that their knowledgeable staff will be your guide as they share fun animal facts and conservation stories. During the ride you may see a sleepy tiger yawning or a grizzly bear going for a swim.
