California Blog #17: Museum Discovery
Look above you! Behind you... closer... closer... not that close! AAAAHHH! CYCLONE! RUN! Just kidding.
Anyway, I'll never forget the year my Grandma Rose & Grandpa Joe took me down to the Children's Discovery Museum in San Jose. Luckily for us, we took the Bart.
We got to see anything as far as the eye can see. We saw the water cyclone, we saw rubber balls flying through the air with water fountains shooting, sound waves making noise, light up animation, we even got to see metal discs going through the hole of a tunnel. Heck, I even got to see glugs of bubbles rising of a tubes. I also got to blow gigantic bubbles with a huge bubble wand. The other one popped too quickly. Yikes!
Maybe when I came back and move back to California to live here again, I wanna plan a trip to the Children's Discovery Museum with my family. And who knows what's next for this sweet museum we love. You know something, I've seen commercials for Raid bug sprays and systems featuring animated bug characters that I might be interested in the next time I volunteer. I saw anything a bug can see right before my eyes. I saw a talking ant, a roach, a wasp, a yellow jacket, a cockroach, a mosquito, and a spider on the TV screen. It's like 'A Bug's Life' in 2D. And if I'm lucky, maybe I'll ask the nice people working at this museum to help me out on a special presentation inside the Lee & Diane Brandenburg Theatre featuring some talking 2D bugs and insects in special 3D effects and puppetry. The bug's talking voices will be fun to watch too.
Maybe I can invite the Klavers to come with us too. I can even show them around. Maybe learn new discoveries.
Hey, it could happen!
Now, another idea for when I visit the museum. Whenever I plan on video segments for my YouTube show, I wanna bring my bee puppet with me in case I can interview people or kids about any topic that's possible. And if there's some special events happening here, maybe I can participate in the museum.
When I think of the Children's Discovery Museum, I think of new discoveries and many experiments to play around with. It's kinda like seeing Discovery Channel come to life. My best part of it is that I got to blow bubbles and get sprinkled by the water fountains. The bubbles too.
Next time I'm here, I wanna try out Bill's Backyard and go exploring with nature. Outside, there's nature play everywhere thanks to the bridge. Outdoor learning is a breeze. And the Jr. Ranger Station is always in style.
I also wanna explore many more exhibits too.
Streets, outdoor entertainment, rainbow market, mammoth discovery, an art studio, secrets of circles, and a wonder cabinet.
Other exhibits I wanna check out is the one with the Ed Tannenbaum performance screen. It's where we can all dance around, play around, run around, and explore with motion, art, and color all in a huge projection screen.
Like Bill Nye the Science Guy always said, "Science rules!". And that's that.
P.S. I have plenty of ideas that I'm brainstorming for the Discovery Museum in San Jose to enjoy.
