California Blog #05: Scotts Valley

Ahh, Scotts Valley... Santa Cruz's small city. Also known as the 'Wolfpack'. And this is where Aunt Leta and Uncle Mark live here.

Back in 2005, I visited my cousins Ryan and Shanann at the house while my dad and I were on vacation. We had a really great time together. In the future when I move back to California, I can visit my Aunt Leta and Uncle Mark every day or perhaps any time of the week. We can go out for hamburgers, hang out and play basketball outside in the backyard, have backyard barbeque parties, spend the night there, hang out and watch TV together, go bike riding, do some exercising, walk around the neighborhood, and maybe throw a party inside the house.

What might also be great in the future is that I can also ride my bike to the Santa Cruz Wharf and maybe I can meet my folks there for whenever we plan on going to breakfast or lunch. Because we all know as the bench will always say that "today is a holiday - as of yesterday and will be tomorrow. And I live by the sea - enough said".

It said so on that beach dedicated to my Grandpa Earle and Grandma Helen.

If I were to pick something that I would like for breakfast besides pancakes, I would say french toast with sausage and white toast. Or rather maybe some waffles with syrup with a side of fruit and bacon, and some orange juice. That would be my combination for the daily morning. Cause you know what they say, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And that's a good thing too.

Next on my future plans perhaps maybe on the weekend, I can surprise them into taking my aunt and uncle to lunch somewhere. If I could choose which one I wanna go to lunch in the future, I would pick either Ideal Bar & Grill, Woodstock's Pizza, Crow's Nest, or Hula's Island Grill. This will be one of the many ways to try something new on a daily basis. And that would be pretty cool. Whether it's Leta's birthday, Mark's birthday, or one of my cousins' birthday, whichever I choose. Or perhaps when I'm planning a surprise party for any one of them.

At Scotts Valley, also on a weekend in the month of October, I can ask my aunt and uncle for an idea for a Halloween party, trick-or-treating, or go to a Halloween event in Santa Cruz. Or on the month of November for the weekend, I can spend Thanksgiving with my family along with the Klavers, or on the month of December, maybe Leta, Mark and I can plan on throwing a Christmas party with them inside the house.

Whenever I wanna go somewhere while I'm living in California, I need someone to help me find a bus to take so that I can go to the library to check out some music, movies, or some books to take home for free, or when I feel like going to the movies somewhere downtown, or perhaps when I wanna go to the boardwalk, the Wharf, or maybe someplace downtown. That's a public transit which we like to call the Santa Cruz Metro.

I also wanna take the time to ride my bike around downtown Santa Cruz, the boardwalk, the Wharf, meet someone at a place somewhere, or as always ride by bike to work also. Oh, and did I forget to mention one thing, even take the bus to work too. I wonder if there's a barbershop I can go to. Montgomery's? Get Faded? Santa Cruz Barber? Hmmm... just a thought.

Plus, going shopping with my aunt and uncle. It can be also required.

Another thing that can be fun is visiting my aunt Barb at her house with my dad and relatives. Scotts Valley is also the home of Netflix.

I can also take Barb somewhere like Jack In The Box or somewhere for breakfast like Denny's or Starbucks. Or maybe I can take Barb for some Chinese food for dinner.

We can also at her house, watch a little Jeopardy on TV. My dad really liked watching that game show.

When the time comes, I'll be making this dream a reality. And when I do, I will keep planning on talking to my Aunt Leta and Uncle Mark about it and provide more information about my next future in California. Cause to be honest, I really miss Aunt Leta and Uncle Mark so much. My dad also misses California too, even when he and I visit there. Every day can always be a holiday for everyone in the family. And this is sometimes be just the beginning for another brighter future ahead of me. I feel like this is gonna be a great time to be live the good life again.

And I will always hear a thought in my head that I will have some fresh ideas for many years to come.
